|TOWN OF WOODBURY, NEW YORK|
|The Town of Woodbury is proud to provide two beautiful swimming and recreational facilities to the residents of the town. Along with a small park in Highland Mills, there are the two major recreational areas: the Central Valley Pond, and Earl Reservoir in Highland Mills. There are several baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, and a roller hockey rink.
The Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department is comprised of a 7-member Commission which manages the operation of the parks system. The Commissioners, who are appointed by the Town Board, serve a seven year term and volunteer their time. A full-time Recreation Supervisor plans the activities within the parks. The Administrative Assistant assists the Supervisor.
The Parks Department also employs many young town residents during the summer to work as Lifeguards, Camp Counselors, and Arts & Crafts Instructors. Other activities offered throughout the year include bus trips to plays, holiday parties, and a summer concert series.
